Frequently Asked Questions
Deposits and Payments
All cake orders require a deposit to fully secure your booking and date. For wedding cakes this is a £100 deposit and for all celebration cakes 50% of the total. Please note that deposits are non-refundable should you cancel your order for any reason.
Wedding cake orders will need to pay the remainder of the bill 1 month prior to the event. Celebration cakes must be paid for in full one week before delivery/collection. If you book a cake with less than 2 weeks notice payment in full will be required.
Payments can be made by bank transfer, cash or PayPal (charges may apply). Please note that we do not accept cash on collection. An order is not confirmed and the date is not secured without a deposit/payment in full.
How much notice do you need for a cake order?
Our diary gets booked up quickly, often months in advance, so please place your order in plenty of time to avoid disappointment. Depending on how full the diary is we can sometimes accommodate a short-notice order. Please get in touch to check for availability.
For wedding cakes, please contact us as early as possible as dates are booked up very early, particularly between April-September. Occassionally we can make wedding cakes at shorter notice depending on our availability.
All of our cakes contain eggs, milk and wheat unless otherwise stated. Should you have any specific allergy requirements, please let us know when placing your order as it may be possible to make some recipes without gluten. Unfortunately we can't cater for dairy allergies. A list of allergens will always be given to you with your cake order.
We work with nuts in our baking, and although we can exclude nuts, we cannot guarantee any of the cakes to be 100% nut free.
We do not use animal fats in any of our recipes and all our products are suitable for vegetarians. Our cakes are not suitable for vegans.
Alcohol, unless specifically mentioned on the flavours list, is not present in our items.
We can deliver your celebration cake in Canterbury for £4. Wedding orders are delivered free of charge within 10 miles of Canterbury, but venues further afield will incur a fee based on distance.
